Title : Sustainable Livelihood Promotion for Tsunami affected area

Project Profile:

The project will assist a total of 500 families in the Tsunami affected area in Southern districts of Sri Lanka. The immediate relief support has resettled the families, but they still lack opportunities to build sustainable livelihoods. The 250 original project families will receive 250 cow and 10 breeding bulls, fodder seed/ saplings and vegetable seed. The project participants will receive trainings of Heifer Cornerstones, self - help group management, improved animal management , gender , kitchen gardening and fodder production. Veterinary services and support will also be provided.
